Dr. Bill Redford
Founding Principal at Delta Charter Schools/NJESD

As the Founding Principal of Delta Bridges Charter School I am responsible for development and administration of the school site.

Prior to my role at Delta, I served as the founding Director/Principal for Riverbank Language Academy for five years. Prior to RLA I served as the Director of Quality for the California Charter Schools Association. In this role I was responsible for charter school evaluation teams and quality assurance for 576 charter schools across the State of California. Additionally, I worked with Association's Member Council and Board to establish the current Quality Standards for California's Charter School Movement. These standards have served as a guide for WASC and other evaluators of charter schools.

In addition to my adminstrative experience I have served as a teacher, grant writer, consultant, and charter petition author. I have taught in both K-12 and university settings. I have authored and/or co-authored over $2.5 million dollars in competitive charter school grant funding (California Charter School Grant Program, Walton Foundation-HQC, Gates Foundation-ECHS and others).

My education includes a B.A. in Political Science-Public Administration, a Multiple Subjects Credential with English Language Development Emphasis, a Clear Tier Two Administrative Credential, a Master of Science in Educational Administration and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership.
