STEAM Programs at the Salida Library
Join the Salida Library for a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) program every Thursday during the month of May. Each program is for children ages 10-14. Programs include:
· Engineering Space!………………………………..Thursday, May 5 at 4 p.m.
During this program, children will learn about space exploration and will have the opportunity to build a model rover or space shuttle.
· Build a Remote-Control Vehicle! ………………….Thursday, May 12 at 4 p.m.
During this program, children will have the opportunity to build a mechanized vehicle using building bricks.
· Magnets and Electricity! …………………………..Thursday, May 19 at 4 p.m.
During this program participants will conduct experiments with magnets and learn about magnetic levitation. Children will also build electric circuits to create an electromagnetic field.
· Snap Circuits! ………………………………………Thursday, May 26 at 4 p.m.
