CITY OF TRACY ANNOUNCES SELECTION OF NEW PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR
Tracy, Calif. – The City of Tracy is pleased to announce the selection of its new Public Works Director, Don Scholl. Scholl, 51, joined the City of Tracy in 1999 as a Parks Supervisor and was later promoted to Parks, Sports Fields & Trees Superintendent. Following the retirement of former Public Works Director, David Ferguson, in October 2015, Scholl was appointed as Interim Public Works Director. After a competitive recruitment process, Scholl was selected as the leading candidate for the position.
“Don has exceptional leadership experience in areas of employee management, budget preparation and oversight, community outreach, program coordination, landscape maintenance administration, and is very familiar with the operations of the Public Works Department,” stated Tracy City Manager, Troy Brown. “Don is well-regarded both within our organization and the community, and has a calm and approachable demeanor.”
