SHN and SF Sketchfest present a limited engagement of STUFFED AND UNSTRUNG, a night of hilarious uncensored mayhem featuring The Miskreant Puppets and their fearless puppeteers set loose live onstage to explore the art of improvisational comedy. Created by award-winning director, producer, writer and performer Brian Henson and actor and improvisational guru Patrick Bristow and featuring The Jim Henson Company's renowned puppeteers, STUFFED AND UNSTRUNG will play a limited engagement of 10 performances.

In celebration of its 35th anniversary, the farm will be open for free to the public on Saturday, August 13, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Farm tour activities include: a Q & A with farmer Thaddeus Barsotti, tractor tram tours of the farm Capay, fig harvest, kids' art activities and live music from the West Nile Ramblers. Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic and spend the day.

Tracy Dry Bean Festival celebrates 25 years Sept. 10, 11

TRACY - What better way to enjoy and embrace the beautiful weather that fall brings by having fun and coming out to the 25th annual celebration of the Tracy Dry Bean Festival. This year the event will take place on September 10 and 11, Saturday 10 a.m.- 7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.

Come out and enjoy all the attractions, entertainment, music, food and of course, FUN! By the way don't forget to stop by and take a ride on Big West the mechanical bull, a huge attraction full of entertainment for all ages. Also enjoy some of our delicious food and for your sweet tooth our signature specialty cakes and desserts. 

Big West will be located on B Street and 10th, near Bank of America. In celebration of the 25 years for the Tracy Dry Bean Festival, a special ceremony will take place on Saturday morning on the main stage. Cake will be courtesy of Baby Cakes by Big West.

The Block Party Series continues with the Dave Russell Band. Dave Russell is a"Down home, good ole' boy from North Carolina" who has toured the country performing sold out shows in Nashville, San Antonio, Reno, Biloxi, and all over California.

National Night Out returns to Ripon

RIPON - The City of Ripon, Ripon Police Department and Kid Red Entertainment would like to invite all of the citizens of Ripon to celebrate the return of National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2 at the community center located at 334 West 4th Street.

Festivities kick off at 6:00 p.m. with free hot dogs and water for the first 3,000 people followed by Bingo games for the 21 and over, two inflatable water slides, bounce houses, sack races, watermelon eating contest, bucket brigade, tug o'war, car show and more, plus tons of free giveaways including free Baskin Robbins soft serve, Boomers attraction passes, Taco Bell gift cards and even News10 prize packs.

Make sure to stop by the watermelon eating contest at 7:00 p.m. and cheer on Police Chief Ed Ormonde as he challenges Dispatch Supervisor Linda Johnston in a 1-minute, full watermelon eating contest.
