My Neighborhood “Patriotic Treats” Contest

Have fun with your food and enter News 10 My Neighborhood's Patriotic Treats contest. Email photos of your homemade culinary creations from Independence Day with a patriotic theme to writer@news10.net. Voting will begin and photos will be posted on My Neighborhood Central Stockton's Facebook page on Friday, July 6 at 8 a.m.  The photo with the most "likes" by 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 12 will win a $50 gift certificate to College Bakery, 5308 Pacific Avenue #11C in Stockton. Make sure to vote for your favorite!

Photos will be posted as received. Deadline to submit a photo will be Wednesday, July 11 at 1 p.m. Remember, the sooner the photo is received, the sooner people can begin voting. Only one photo submission per household accepted.

 Chili Cook-off: A 23-Year Tracy Dry Bean Festival Tradition

The Tracy Chamber and Dry Bean Festival Committee have initiated preparations for the 26th Annual Tracy Dry Bean Festival, scheduled for Saturday September 8th and Sunday September 9th in Downtown Tracy.

 

One of the most regarded and anticipated elements of this annual celebration, is the Chili Cook-Off competition on Sunday morning.   The Festival is seeking new competitors to challenge reigning 2011 champion, Jennifer Culver for the chance to win cash prizes.  The public is invited to consider being part of this tradition, by registering for the competition no later than August 30, 2012. A $10 entry fee per participant applies.

 

Blues and Brews Block Party

Blues and Brews Block Party: Friday, June 8, 2012 from 6:00pm- 9:00pm at the Downtown Plaza located on 6th Street and Central Ave. in Downtown Tracy. This is a free community event that is appropriate for all ages.

Entertainment by “Zakiya Hooker” daughter of Blues legend John Lee Hooker

Food is available for purchase. Heart and Soul will be catering the event.

Drinks are available for purchase. Tracy City Center Association will be selling the beverages.
