Tracy proudly admits it's full of beans! Especially during the Tracy Dry Bean Festival, September 10 and 11. Come on out and discover more types of dry beans than you could possibly imagine! Plus bean-related activities and entertainment like the 5k and 10k Bean Run, the Bean Queen and her Royal Court, and Festival Mascots - Pinto and Pepe Bean Pad. Enjoy Bean Town where you'll find the Bean Store Front, Bean Museum, Beans for Health, over 40 varieties of dry beans for sale, yummy Bean Pie, and even Red Bean Ice Cream. Take the kidlettes to the Be-An Kids Craft Area for hands on activities like plant your own "bean" stalk, bean story storytime, and decorating your item of choice with - you guessed it - beans. Plus they'll enjoy the carnival and pony rides! And you're sure to love the Chili Bean Cook Off and the Bean Demo Cooking Stage where local chefs will demonstrate many of the wonderful ways that beans can be enjoyed.

Tracy Dry Bean Festival celebrates 25 years Sept. 10, 11

TRACY - What better way to enjoy and embrace the beautiful weather that fall brings by having fun and coming out to the 25th annual celebration of the Tracy Dry Bean Festival. This year the event will take place on September 10 and 11, Saturday 10 a.m.- 7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.

Come out and enjoy all the attractions, entertainment, music, food and of course, FUN! By the way don't forget to stop by and take a ride on Big West the mechanical bull, a huge attraction full of entertainment for all ages. Also enjoy some of our delicious food and for your sweet tooth our signature specialty cakes and desserts. 

Big West will be located on B Street and 10th, near Bank of America. In celebration of the 25 years for the Tracy Dry Bean Festival, a special ceremony will take place on Saturday morning on the main stage. Cake will be courtesy of Baby Cakes by Big West.

Tracy to celebrate Downtown Block Party Aug. 6

TRACY - Cool down your summer nights with music, drinks, friends and food at Tracy’s Downtown Block Party, on Saturday, August 6 at the corner of 6th Street and Central Ave from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Block Party Series continues with the Dave Russell Band. Dave Russell is a"Down home, good ole' boy from North Carolina" who has toured the country performing sold out shows in Nashville, San Antonio, Reno, Biloxi, and all over California.

National Night Out returns to Ripon

National Night Out returns to Ripon

RIPON - The City of Ripon, Ripon Police Department and Kid Red Entertainment would like to invite all of the citizens of Ripon to celebrate the return of National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2 at the community center located at 334 West 4th Street.

Festivities kick off at 6:00 p.m. with free hot dogs and water for the first 3,000 people followed by Bingo games for the 21 and over, two inflatable water slides, bounce houses, sack races, watermelon eating contest, bucket brigade, tug o'war, car show and more, plus tons of free giveaways including free Baskin Robbins soft serve, Boomers attraction passes, Taco Bell gift cards and even News10 prize packs.

Make sure to stop by the watermelon eating contest at 7:00 p.m. and cheer on Police Chief Ed Ormonde as he challenges Dispatch Supervisor Linda Johnston in a 1-minute, full watermelon eating contest.
