National Night Out returns to Ripon

RIPON - The City of Ripon, Ripon Police Department and Kid Red Entertainment would like to invite all of the citizens of Ripon to celebrate the return of National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2 at the community center located at 334 West 4th Street.

Festivities kick off at 6:00 p.m. with free hot dogs and water for the first 3,000 people followed by Bingo games for the 21 and over, two inflatable water slides, bounce houses, sack races, watermelon eating contest, bucket brigade, tug o'war, car show and more, plus tons of free giveaways including free Baskin Robbins soft serve, Boomers attraction passes, Taco Bell gift cards and even News10 prize packs.

Make sure to stop by the watermelon eating contest at 7:00 p.m. and cheer on Police Chief Ed Ormonde as he challenges Dispatch Supervisor Linda Johnston in a 1-minute, full watermelon eating contest. Loser will have to wear a shirt made by their opponent during National Night Out.
