PEARLS Youth Leadership Applications being Accepted

The Tracy Women’s Forum Association (TWFA) is excited to begin accepting applications for our 2012/2013 PEARLS Program for 11th and 12th grade High School Women.

The goal of this two year program is to offer eight young women the opportunity to work with TWFA to develop the skills required to succeed in life and serve their community. The PEARLS program is designed to familiarize students with business culture; give them an understanding of what it means to be part of a team and teach them how to strive & drive for results. They will also gain a deeper understanding of what it takes to become a great leader. The program will teach students skills that will help them deal constructively and adapt successfully to adult life changes. The activities, presentations and workshops will help them get the most out of themselves by challenging their mindsets to work

Ultimately, we hope to provide scholarships to each student who successfully completes the PEARLS Program from June 2012 through May 2013. The amount awarded will vary year to year.

Our program went very well last year. To date, the PEARLS participants have planned and presented three life skills workshops which were well received by both Middle and High School students. We are looking forward to another successful year!
