More than 100 people participated in the Tracy Chamber of Commerce and the city of Tracy's tour of local commercial and residential real estate and development yesterday. Two RED (Real estate & Development) tour buses began at City Hall, traveling next to the northeast industrial area and returning through the I-205 retail corridor. Participants also viewed Legacy Fields, a master-planned 166-acre multi-use sports venue expected to open in 2018, then to the new Prologis International Park of Commerce, viewing the one million square foot spec building under construction as well construction of the recently announced FedEx hub. Mike Ammann, San Joaquin Partnership president & CEO participated in the tour and luncheon. "The RED tour shows the results of a long term public-private partnership in developing a community strategic vision then executing a plan to make it happen," said Ammann. “The hard work of deciding what Tracy wants, where it will be located and how to work together to make it happen is a successful model for all communities."
