Rising out of the ground again in San Joaquin County - "Spec" buildings!

The Buzz Oates Group of Companies demonstrated its faith in San Joaquin County and Stockton's economy this morning with a wall-tilting and celebration of the first speculation building since early 2009. Chief Investment Officer Kevin Ramos said the timing is perfect for the construction of this building and they have already received some inquires through their brokerage Jones Lang LaSalle. The 257,000 square foot, Class-A warehouse distribution facility is in the Stockton Airport Business Center. "We haven't' seen anything like this over the last five years," said Ramos. "We have seen the signs that the economy is coming back and Buzz Oates is making the investment now." Robert Taylor, JLL Executive Vice President, said the signs were evident that it was time to start building. "There is a less than eight percent vacancy rate in San Joaquin County right now for Class A high cube warehouse space like this. It's something we haven't seen in a while and we're really excited about it," said Taylor. He said the new building will meet market demand with plenty of truck storage and docking doors. The Buzz Oates Group of Companies is the leading commercial real estate asset provider in the Greater Central Valley of California.
